Two job changes in four months.<\/p>\n<p>During both searches, I asked myself <a href=\"http:\/\/judykat.com\/ken-judy\/agile-or-else\/\">the same questions<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Limit my search to [agile] shops?\n<ul>\n<li>Yes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>What do I mean by [agile]?\n<ul>\n<li>Scrum project management  with the XP discipline. <\/li>\n<li>Empowered, accountable product owners.<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration and reflection.<\/li>\n<li>User-centered product development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Why such a narrow search? <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I want to accomplish something.<\/li>\n<li>I want to be inspired by my work and my co-workers.<\/li>\n<li>I want to be part of a real team<\/li>\n<li>I want to have fun.<\/li>\n<li>I want to balance my work and my personal life.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I don&#8217;t claim my criteria are the only way to achieve these ends but they are my path to them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>My life feels a little circular these days.
